In fact, I can say without a doubt that if I write my childhood story in English, it will be a summation of all the short stories that I have read as a child. In fact I can say that, 30 years later, all of my childhood memories are related to the countless english books that I read like Tenali Raman, Panchatantra, Tinkle and many more. All my childhood memories invove me reading loads of english story books, about friendship, love, sadness, mischief and based on that my experiences evolved.
My mother and grandmother would read a lot of childhood stories in English to me and that is how my vocabulary improved so well. When you were in your childhood, did you grandmother not read a english childhood story to you? In my childhood, that’s what I used to do all the time.
